Halloween Haunts

HAPPY HALLOWEEN! I'm sure you're all wondering:

Q. What's the deal with Halloween? Should I be scared of ghosts?

A. The bottom line is, both in this world and in the next, YOU make the rules!

It's all about the power of your intention. If you are clear that your space and experience will only welcome beings of the highest vibration of love and light, then that's what you'll get.

True on Halloween and the other 364 days: Our focus on fear and what wedon't want is the very thing that opens the door and allows the experience we don't want. We are only open to a negative experience because we are open to a negative experience! If we focus on being, creating, and allowing only positive experiences... then that's what we'll get.

I don't pretend to know everything about the Universe and how things work on the Other Side. But I can tell you this: Doing daily work on grounding and cleansing my own energy field, and raising and maintaining my own vibration nice and high (read: have fun, cultivate joy) has completely eliminated ALL nightmares and creepy feelings for about 4 years. 100% gone. And I had had frequent bad dreams and creepy feelings since I was a kid.

Essentially, this is simply the Law of Attraction in action. We create our own experience based on the circumstances we allow and are open to. By focusing on what we don't want, we attract it. But you don't have to take my word for it.

Here's a story to show you how practical this is:

A few years ago, I was in a commercial where I got to test drive a brand new Ford Explorer on a precision obstacle course. (Thanks to my friend, Jenn... and the Universe!) It was a BLAST. But I'm gonna share the thing thatreally stuck with me.

Each of us was paired with a professional stunt driver, and during a break, one of the drivers was talking about how she (yes, SHE, total BA) regularly drove off of cliffs and into ditches as part of her job. Ditches. Cliffs. On PURPOSE.

She said that the trick to sticking the landing and not losing control is to accelerate as you drive off the cliff, and focus your attention on where you want to go.

I'm gonna let that land for a second.

Accelerating. That's 100% commitment.

Attention instinctively guides you exactly toward your point of focus. If you focus on where you want to go in a sharp turn, you'll handle it more gracefully. If you focus on what you want to avoid, chances are, you'll end up hitting it instead.

Commitment and attention on where you want to go actually propels you in the direction you want.

I've since incorporated that into my own driving, and I have to tell you, despite its simplicity, it's one of the best tips I've ever heard. (That and - If you can see the back tires of the car in front of you, then you're all clear to turn the wheel and drive out of a parking space without backing up, but I digress.)

Another way of saying it: Commitment + Attention = INTENTION.

Needless to say, I've been living with these principles in mind, and the results have been magical. $10 front row seat to see Hamilton on Broadway, magical.

So when it comes to Halloween, and every other day: Focus on what you want, not on what you don't want. Do what feels good. Do what makes you light up.

If you're worried or stressed or scared, call in your Spirit Team to let them handle it, and then let it go. Focus on doing something to feel good and lit up instead, before deciding what actions to take. This is a magical formula that will keep you untouchable and resilient in any situation.

You can call on your Team anytime for backup, all day, every day. (You're their ONE job. PLEASE give them something to do; they're just bored to tears if you don't.)
